Dr. Pham Viet Phuong is currently the Head of the Department of  Automation Engineering at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). He received his Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering from HUST in 2003, followed by his Master's degree in 2006 and his PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2009, both from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. His research interests include: Applications of high-power converters in power systems; Applications of power converters in electric drive systems; Research on control of Modular Multilevel Converter; Research on control of DC-DC converters and its applications.
