The Multi-Agent System Control (MACS) research laboratory was proposed in 2016, and by 2023, it had been equipped with 4 unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), 4 autonomous vehicles, an OptiTrack camera-based positioning system with Motive software, Matlab/Simulink control software, a host computer, and three monitors.

The main research directions include formation control, consensus control, collaborative control, and modern control methods such as intelligent control, model-free control, adaptive control, and disturbance observer-based control for unstable, underactuated, and non-linear systems like unmanned aerial vehicles and autonomous vehicles.

In terms of personnel, the MACS research laboratory consists of: 1 Professor, 4 Associate Professors, 5 PhDs, and 2 Masters. In addition, there are 8 PhD candidates, along with many graduate and undergraduate students participating in scientific research.
