Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu-Thanh is Dean of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Vietnam. He received his PhD degree from the University of Federal Armed Forces Munich, Germany. His research focuses on network security, distributed AI, edge–cloud computing, and energy efficient network and cloud. He has coordinated and participated in numerous national and international projects funded by the Vietnamese government, EU, ONRG, and authored over 100 scientific publications. He previously served as Chair of the IEEE Vietnam Section and Vice President of the Radio-Electronics Association of Vietnam.
