Dr. Nguyen Duc Thuan graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Control and Automation Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2023, and received his PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Engineering from Ulsan University (South Korea) in 2026. Since 2023, he has been a lecturer at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Dr. Nguyen Duc Thuan's research focuses on intelligent sensor-measurement systems based on acoustic radiation, thermal radiation, and vibration; embedded systems and IoT; signal processing and AI for industrial systems; predictive maintenance; digital twin technology; and smart factories.


During the period 2026-2030, Dr. Thuan will focus his research on measuring and monitoring renewable energy systems (wind, solar, battery storage, hydrogen) based on advanced sensor technologies such as acoustic radiation, thermal radiation, vibration, and next-generation signal processing technologies, AI, and  Digital Twin.

Research Interests
Dr. Nguyen Duc Thuan is the Head of the Intelligent Measurement Systems (IMES) research group, aiming to research and develop technology in the field of measurement and control, focusing on new technologies to solve strategic problems in Industry 4.0/5.0.

Digital Twins of engineering systems geared towards smart manufacturing 4.0/5.0;
Non-destructive testing (NDT) based on acoustic technology and advanced methods in material and structure evaluation.
